More than 300 thousand deaths happen per year in Brazil caused by Myocardial Infarction. According to WHO (World Health Organization), 50% of those deaths could be avoided if the first care was held in the corrected way.
During the Hackathon of 2014 BRAPPS, our team developed the Rescue app to help people on performancing the cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), becoming the champion of the competition.
The BRAPPS Is one of the largest mobile content events in Latin America, bringing together at one and the same time: Talks with mobile focus, Startups, Exhibition Fair, Hackathon and actions of digital entrepreneurship. For two days technology and entrepreneurship with content focused on the development of applications. BRAPPS provides the opportunity for the public to know trends, cases and products of the mobile world. It was during the Hackathon 2014 that the Rescue was born.
The development marathon involved 80 developers with the goal of working on the development of mobile applications within 48 hours, following the theme “INTELLIGENT CITIES”. The competition took place in a glass aquarium set up inside the event. The team from Ilhasoft won the competition in all categories with the Rescue project.
